Our sponge filters are made from durable, aquarium-safe foam designed for long-term use. The high-density sponge offers maximum surface area for beneficial bacteria growth while withstanding repeated cleaning. To maintain performance, rinse the sponge gently in old tank water (never tap water) every 2 months. Replace the sponge if it becomes worn or loses its shape to ensure optimal filtration.
